Simple but elegant plate in which a feminine bust stands out in the center, on a very schematic rockery and two simple floral bouquets that are harmoniously repeated on the wing. It belongs to the “madamita” style, such
as it is called in the documentation of the Royal Factory, and is part of the set of ornamental contributions that Alexius Feit describes as “interfinite paintings”, also following the terminology of the original documents of
manufacturing.

The change in the ornamental system that the Royal Factory underwent in 1764 at the hands of Julián López, its artistic director, contributed a series of reasons mentioned in the documentation as “entrefinas paintings”. Models that sometimes simplify their application on parts, limiting themselves to a central element and other complementary motifs on the wing. This is the case of this dish, which features a radiant sun on the solero and floral motifs derived from the “Ramito” on the wing.

Popularly known as “Chaparro” because of the type of tree that appears in first, this ornamental style is called in the documentation as “source tree little countries”. The central motif hardly shows any variations in the large number of known pieces: a tower from which water flows as fountain, a tree with twisted trunk, green leaves and orange fruits. In the reverse side features number 8 painted in manganese, probably production control.

Decoration described in the documentation of the time as “trophies”, also called “à la fanfare”. It has a central motif in the solero formed by weapons, a banner and a drum, with a rockery in the foreground. In the wing it they repeat similar elements, alternating more complex sets with rockeries, with other simpler ones (sword, cannonball and drum).

Oblong shape with embossed “Rocalla” decoration, both on the lid and on the container (handles and feet), accentuated by brushstrokes in orange and yellow tones. The lid knob is a branch from which leaves and fruits hang. Regarding painted decoration, the main motifs are rockeries combined with suns, moons or simple plant motifs. Also stands out, both in the body of the tureen and in the lid, a bird throwing water upwards as a fountain or spout.

Floral motifs on the wing, and central scene flanked by trees with fruits in the one that a landscape with several buildings and two ships is observed. On the horizon, a radiant sun. This type of decorations belongs to the series that the Documentation of the time called “countries”, which is mentioned in a Mamés Lalana Memorial, manufacturing director, which summarizes the Royal Factory production from 1764 to 1775.

Circular foot, globular body and high cylindrical neck. The main scene takes place between the upper part of the body and the neck, and occupies the entire perimeter. You can see a radiant sun, a background of buildings in two different planes, and in the first place a structure with wooden sticks (seesaw?) With two characters, one raised on top and the other on the bottom. Next to this contraption, a tree with an owl perched on one of its branches. At the bottom, a figurehead under the top of the handle and a lion mounted by a monkey. At the top, under the rim of the jar, a phylacterium with the legend of property: I am from Mn. Joseph Martines.

Formerly called “Álvaro” style, in reference to the supposed creation thereof by Vicente Álvaro Ferrando, currently attribution discarded. This decoration belongs to the “entrefinas paintings” that appear in the Royal Factory around 1764 with the change of ornamental models contributed by the artistic director Julián López. The plate presents a central motif with an architecture (fine andromeda) on rockery complete with trees, fruits and flowers. On the back, mark A que nos indicates a chronology after 1784.
